TradeWinds Island Resorts is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor to deliver exemplary service to our guests at our Rumfish Beach Resort property. The incumbent will work closely with the managers in training and ensuring front desk staff delivers exemplary service to our guests. The Supervisor takes a "lead by example" approach in their day to day responsibilities which makes for exceptional experiences for our internal and external customers. The successful candidate will maintain accuracy and efficiency in the department while meeting and exceeding our resort standards.

Shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Responsibilities
    Greet and welcome all guests approaching the Front Desk in accordance with Highgate Hotel standards.
  • Able to make reasonable and professional decisions. Accurately manage credit card system. Communicate pertinent shift information to the next shift and direct supervisor.
  • Assist and guide the front office staff through their daily duties and responsibilities. Train Front Office staff as designated and outlined in the Front Office Training Procedures.
  • Maintain a positive work environment.
  • Check guests in and out of the hotel in a courteous and pleasant manner. Use the appropriate phrases and greetings when interacting with guests. Conduct self in a friendly and attentive manner during all guest encounters.
  • Offer assistance to the individual needs and requests of all guests. Ensure guest needs are responded to in a timely and efficient manner. Provide information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest and entertainment attractions, making reservations as needed.
  • Be familiar with all in-house groups.
  • Fully comprehend and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
  • Be able to perform and complete all tasks and duties on the shift checklist in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Balance and prepare individual paperwork for closing of shift according to hotel standards.
  • Use proper two-way radio etiquette at all times when communicating with other employees.
  • You are responsible for working in a safe and conscientious manner and ensuring the Department staff members work in a safe and conscientious manner. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in supervising office staff
  • Demonstrated ability with Reservations, Front Desk, and Accounting functions
  • Proven aptitude for attaining Guest Satisfaction
  • Working knowledge of Versa or other PMS preferred
  • Must have open availability as weekends and holidays are our busiest times
  • Basic knowledge of St. Pete Beach area a plus
