Your Role

The inventory specialist will manage and improve inventory accuracy across all company locations by implementing invventory control best practices. You will support the Supply Chain Manager in providing accurate, up-to-date information on available inventory at locations across the United States and Canada. You will also support our sales channels and customers with information on available inventory for immediate sale, shipping tracking, and accurate delivery schedules. You will assist the Supply Chain Manager in setting and updating minimum/maximum unit and dollar vlaues at each location and will work closely with the sales team to manage incoming and outgoing units.

To ensure accruate inventory reporting and to support sales in achieving the Company's business goals, you will:

Manage the cycle count process for all locations.

Reconcile inventory discrepancies.

Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and determine and implement corrective actions needed to improve processes.

Implement inventory control strategies across all locations to improve accuracy.

Review storage and capacity planning for locations.

Monitor and reconcile external inventory, "Tow and Show", and demonstration inventory at customer and sales representative locations on a monthly basis.

In consultation with Business Line Managers, monitor and reduce aging and obsolete inventory.

Create and update reports relating to inventory control.

Communicate available inventory levels to the sales team on a regular basis.

In consultation with the Supply Chain Manager, create and update inventory control KPIs.

Coordinate and conduct physical inventories in all locations.

Communicate ongoing supply chain activities to key stakeholders and work collaboratively to grow our business.

Communicate internal and external changes in the supply chain flow that may have an impact on our company's ability to serve our customers or affect our logistics costs.

Prepare and provide supply chain information and reporting to members of the senior management team as needed.

Document processes and publish them to the company's information management system.


To succeed, you will need

A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management with five (5) years of experience working in inventory control, including experience in purchasing, import-export, traffic, and/or logistics.
