Manatee Physician Alliance LLC is a Medical Group that has 18 practice medical offices located in 1 state 3 cities in the USA. There are 45 health care providers, specializing in Preventative Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Psychiatry, Nurse Practitioner, General Surgery, Hospice/Palliative Care, Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Family Practice and more, being reported as members of the medical group. Position Summary:

The Cardiac Device Technician provides technical and clinical services in relation to cardiac devices and support of the heart failure service line objectives. Responsible for cardiac device management to include maintenance of remote monitoring sites and interpretation of remote data as well as routine in office evaluations. Provides a variety of services to include device troubleshooting, identification of arrhythmias, and interpretation of technical and diagnostic information. Documents appropriately in EMR and communicates with patients, clinical staff and physicians to provide device education and report interpretation as well as technical and diagnostic information relevant to patient's care.

Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiac Device Technician program required.
  • IBHRE Certification required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences, Exercise Science or other related field preferred.

Work experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an EP or Cath Lab or equivalent in Cardiology device clinic.

Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and general medical office procedures.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology required.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High level of professionalism
  • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills.

Abilities:

  • Demonstrated track record of Service Excellence.
  • Must be able to perform courteously and professionally in all interactions.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols.

Equipment Operated:

  • Computer, scanner, and printer.
  • Medical equipment varies upon specialty of clinic/practice. Programmers from relative device vendors.

Work environment:

  • Works in a well-lighted, OSHA Standard environment
  • May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases.
  • May be in contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances.
  • Occasionally subject to irregular hours
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
