Job Description

Reporting to the Senior IT Manager, the Business Systems Analyst is a member of the IT division and will work with various Corporate and Operations functional areas to develop a deep understanding of business processes and corresponding system functionality. Documenting processes, designing process and system improvements, providing system instruction, and driving system adoption are the primary focus areas for this role. The ability to perform as the subject matter expert for system capabilities and explain the functionality in the context of the standard business process to all levels of the organization is key to this role's success. Generating instructional documentation and communicating system changes to the user community through remote and onsite delivery are critical duties for this role.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000

Annual Bonus Target: 4%

Work environment: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate business processes and related system functions, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, define system enhancements, and implement solutions.
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Conduct requirements and design sessions with functional areas defining enhancements and priorities.
  • Instruct all business roles, including independent contractors, in system functionality and processes.
  • Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
  • Create instructional materials and content in various media platforms to maximize access.
  • Encourage system adoption and functionality feedback from system users.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Document and effectively communicate the results of data gathering efforts.
  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Monitor deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Utilize the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Perform user acceptance testing.
  • Manage small projects, develop project plans, and monitor project performance.
  • Communicate competing resources and priorities, recommending solutions to resolve constraints.
  • Perform requirements analysis; update, implement, and maintain procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users.

Qualifications:

  • Customer focused, self-motivated individual who works effectively and independently in a fast-paced & fluid business environment with competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to transpose and organize concepts to presentations.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business analysis or a demonstrated ability to understand end-to-end and interrelated business processes in relation to system functionality.
  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to appropriately prioritize work items and effectively collaborate across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability or willingness to facilitate cross-functional meetings digging into details of complex business processes to produce complete business requirements.
  • Ability to convert concepts and requirements into appropriate designs.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; experience creating and giving presentations.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Awareness of project management techniques and methodologies (i.e., Waterfall, Agile) and software development approaches such as SDLC.
  • 2+ years of Oracle and Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without limitation.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

The final compensation offered will be determined based on various factors, including the candidate's location, level of experience, and skill set. As such, it may fall outside the range listed above.
