Job Description
This position is responsible for coordinating and tracking all quotes and proposals.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business
Experience/Requirements:     
  • Two years related experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel
  • Knowledge of accounting and finance practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government granted security clearance
Responsibilities:    
  • Assist in assigning cost development (and writing assignments), and assigning priorities for the work of others associated with the quote/proposal creation process
  • Review overall proposal development progress and status, in an environment of constantly shifting priorities; re-direct resources as necessary; elevate concerns as appropriate
  • Verify receipt of required data; coordinate with customers and Sypris quote team to fill in any gaps in the data package from customer
  • Provide labor estimates for new business RFQ/P responses and establish and maintain production standards
  • Consolidate material and labor cost inputs; understand the thresholds and requirements for Government contracts and standards (if applicable), and coordinate with others internally to ensure compliance
  • Generate price data in required format; coordinate price review meetings and follow-up on any edits, changes, or additional analysis required; prioritize the work and resources to finalize the proposal
  • Seek approval from the leadership team and follow up with appropriate individuals to address any questions or clarification, and coordinate price reviews with corporate when necessary
  • Create all certified cost and pricing data packages to submit to the Government and/or customers
  • Maintain and update all cost, estimating, and cost data tools
