Summary:

The Senior Accountant is an important member of the Sensiba Consulting Group. Responsibilities include the full spectrum of providing Outsourced Accounting services to our clients, including participating in the implementation of Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, BILL and other cloud platforms. Our Senior Accountant may communicate directly with clients and provides periodic full spectrum transactional, close and reporting services as required by each engagement. The Senior Accountant should be organized, analytical, and capable of working remotely and independently or as part of a team, adept at defining and adhering to schedules, skilled in managing multiple priorities and clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform the transactional accounting for multiple clients to include:
  • Entering and paying bills
  • Performing Bank, Payroll and other balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Execute an agreed upon close schedule for each assigned client
  • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Book appropriate close entries each period to include accruals, amortizations, prepaid adjustments, etc. for GAAP reporting
  • Prepare a record of work that provides a clear understanding of procedures
  • Escalate any issues to internal consulting management in a timely and complete manner
  • Preparation of initial draft Management Reporting Package each month, for the review and approval of each client Manager
  • Utilize cloud-based platforms such as Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, BILL, and FYLE

Firm Specific Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high client satisfaction ratings that meet firm standards
  • Provide assistance to internal team members as needed
  • Ability to breakdown complex information into simple solution requirements
  • Provide timely status reports/updates on work assignments to performance manager and firm management as required
  • Achieve utilization targets and track work time accurately within our time tracking system
  • This position will also have the opportunity and requirement to learn and support other best-in-class software solutions offered by our firm
  • Special projects as needed


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a proven track record of successfully working in a systems driven, outsourced accounting group. The candidate must have excellent internal and external client-facing skills and experience developing and/or following a process-based methodology while working directly with clients through all phases of the outsourced accounting model. The candidate should thrive in a dynamic, fast paced atmosphere with a rapidly expanding client base. Additional qualifications the ideal candidate will have are shown below:

  • Bachelor's degree required (in Accounting or Finance preferred)
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience
  • Hospitality and Restaurant Industry knowledge is preferred
  • Proficient in Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, BILL, expense management software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in Ottimate (formerly Plate IQ), Toast and FYLE a plus
  • Knowledge of financial accounting and accounting principles
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Ability to problem solve while keeping all parties informed
  • Strong desire and ability to stay current on technical or industry developments
  • Strong desire and ability to actively engage with client management to solve problems and deliver solutions
  • Team player with solid communication
  • Communicate, be accountable and be nice

Compensation Range: $65,000 - $90,000*
