Mission Support Analyst

This position requires an active Secret clearance.

The Mission Support Analyst shall be responsible for the overall management of NSEP's military personnel programs and processes.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Mission Support Analyst: Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Mission Support Analyst Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure all required forms, memorandums, letters, documents, and packages are properly formatted and accomplished in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate personnel actions with 1 AF/A1 and/or Air Reserve Personnel Center for final processing.
  • Serve as the NSEP Directorate's military evaluations program manager.
  • Track and ensure all military officer and enlisted performance reports are accomplished in a timely manner.
  • Review all evaluations for administrative and/or corrective actions and recommends changes.
  • Process "Change of Rater" forms and ensures all appropriate personnel are notified. Ensures the system is updated to reflect the change.
  • Serve as the NSEP Directorate's promotions program manager.
  • Ensure all promotion recommendations form packages are properly formatted and accomplished in a timely manner to meet the board requirements.
  • Assist in additional types of promotions for officer and enlisted personnel (accelerated, positions vacancy, etc.)
  • Review all promotion recommendations for administrative errors and recommends changes, and/or corrective actions.
  • Track and ensure all military promotion recommendations are accomplished in a timely manner.
  • Serve as the NSEP Directorate's military awards and decorations program manager.
  • Review all decorations for administrative and/or corrective actions and recommends changes.
  • Track and ensures all military awards and decorations are accomplished in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the processing of civilian decorations for government employees.
  • Update monthly key indicators.
  • Maintain library of best practices and current policies for promotion and evaluations on MS Teams for reference by raters and members.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Mission Support Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Must have abackground in military personnel programs and processes with a minimum of 5 years of human resources/force support/A1- related program.
  • Must also have a working knowledge/experience utilizing a variety of Air Force personnel management applications such as VPC-GR, Virtual Military Personnel Flight,
  • PRDA, AROWS, and LeaveWeb and have ability to access these programs.
  • A minimum of five years of mission support functional experience preferred (communications, civil engineering, or security forces) with prior DSCA, unit/base-level.
  • Experience working in a Service Component, MAJCOM, and/or Combatant Command is highly desired.
  • Previous experience in an analytical role, particularly in areas related to mission support, operations, or strategic planning.

Familiarity with working in mission-critical environments, such as government agencies, military, or organizations with complex operational needs.

  • Strong skills in data analysis, including the ability to collect, interpret, and present data relevant to mission objectives.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning processes to contribute to the development and execution of mission support strategies.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey analysis results and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and contribute to the successful execution of mission objectives.
  • Ability to adapt to changing mission requirements and dynamic environments.
  • Understanding and ability to assess risks associated with mission support activities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaboration with various agencies and departments to ensure coordinated support for mission objectives.
