Job Description

The Internal Audit (IA) Org PMO Governance & Oversight Analyst is a strategic project management role in the IA Business Risk and Controls team. This role will report to and support the IA Org PMO Lead with driving and enhancing IA's project management disciplines and Org PMO framework in compliance with Citi's Program Management Council (CPMC) policy and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Support overall adherence to CPMC policy and standards, including educating the IA project management community on all required procedures and PMO processes.
  • Provide advice and counsel to the IA PM community to enable their successful execution of projects to meet project schedule/budget, and sponsor/stakeholder expectations for desired outcomes.
  • Educate the IA PM community on IA Book of Work hygiene best practices and procedural requirements in compliance with CPMC policy and standards.
  • Perform regular IA Book of Work reviews, identifying gaps/findings with CPMC procedures and proactively address with the IA PM community.
  • Support the IA PM community in adherence to the CPMC Enterprise Process Quality Assurance PM Review Framework, monitoring and assisting with timely remediation of any findings/challenges.
  • Serve as the IA Org PMO delegate, performing required monthly Org PMO activities.
  • Serve as the IA Org PMO SharePoint site administrator
  • Serve as the PTS 2.0 SME for the IA PM community and as the designated IA Org PMO UAT tester for monthly PTS 2.0 enhancements
  • Assist with the intake of IA programs/projects, including proper review and consideration for all projects components (e.g. resources, budget, business, and technology impacts)
  • Assist with preparing Org PMO reporting as necessary.
  • Defines, teaches, and enforces the use of good project management practices such as techniques in resolving complex, interdependent activities into tasks and sub-tasks that are documented, monitored and controlled.
  • Possess the knowledge, skills and experience to be able to recognize when problems surface or potential problems are looming.
  • Articulates problems, bring the right people together to solve problems and know when the problem has been properly addressed and closed.
  • Promotes good working relationships across a project, cultivating the people skills needed to develop trust and communication among all of a project's stakeholders: its sponsors, those who will make use of the project's results, those who command the resources needed, and the project team members.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of project management experience - preferably in a financial services environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to interact effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Meaningful knowledge of project management principles and approaches, PMP certification strongly preferred.
  • Ability to challenge and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Strong track record of effectively assessing and managing competing priorities and comfortable acting as an agent for positive change with agility and flexibility.
  • Ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily matrixed corporate environment.
  • Must have knowledge of the Citi Program Management Council operating/governance model, policy and procedures
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide and influence the IA PM community.
  • Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.
  • Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics.
  • Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
