The ICG Documents Technology group is expanding its team to help Citi simplify and standardize the way the bank manages documents through automating critical processes and digitizing documents using Artificial Intelligence machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing (classification, extraction, etc.).? Documents Technology is part of the Innovation Lab at Citi Information Services Group (ISG). Our mission is to simplify and deliver to our clients with speed and agility generating superb client experience.

The team is looking for a hand-on architect who is talented, creative, and experienced, who will be the bridge between development teams, data scientists, the business, Citi remote teams and stakeholders through architecture design, team leadership, backlog refinement and planning to the highest standards - on time, on budget and with quality.?

The Architect will analyze business requirements, conceptualize, research products and solutions available in the market place to help in designing the solution while working in partnership with business, operations, and technology units across Citi to provide cutting edge solutions including Artificial Intelligence techniques to deliver digitization, and automation to the Bank's document management processes.

This requires a highly experienced architect who has a proven track record of delivering project in highly scalable robust applications that use the latest tools and technologies while working on all phases of the development life cycle.? A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality is essential.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to software developers focused on client's technical problems
  • Interface with ML/AI vendors to assess their technology and to guide a team of agile developers in integrating vendor technologies within Citi's tech stack
  • Define and execute the architectural vision for DMC sub-systems; ensure that architecture conforms to Citi's Engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with other DMC architects on technology road maps.
  • Provides architecture-focused leadership to one or more Agile development teams.
  • Translate complex business problems into sound technical solutions.
  • Gain in-depth understanding in DMC system and of how architecture integrates within technology.
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders (across functions); may communicate and negotiate with external parties.
  • Perform other job duties and functions as assigned reviews and redesign of existing DMC components converting into micro-service oriented architecture who fail to maintain these standards.

Mandatory Skills

  • 6-10 years of experience of requirements elicitation, requirements management, requirements analysis, solution assessment and validation
  • Familiarity with several programming languages such as Java, Scala, Kotlin, Python, JavaScript and hands on experience in at least two
  • Deep understanding of micro-service oriented architecture
  • CI/CD tooling and safe release handling procedures
  • Vendor integration and collaboration
  • Demonstrable track record of delivery of technical projects
  • Excellent communication skills- oral, written, presentation skills.? Ability to explain complex requirements in simple words.
  • Ability to work and adapt in a fast-moving Agile team
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience of using JIRA to track requirements / stories
  • Good team player and works collaboratively

Nice to have Skills

  • Background of software development in ML/AI applications
  • Experience with vendor application integrations
  • Experience of relevant financial background of capital markets or regulatory background

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree
  • Master's degree preferred
