Summary
This cloud architect position will focus on all aspects of design, analysis, implementation and support of systems, software or other solutions pertaining to deploying capabilities to cloud systems. The candidate will work within a team of software and IT engineers to build high performance, cloud based visualization and dissemination services based on high fidelity geospatial data sources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support the development of open architectures and applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms to ensure they are best suited for Cloud deployment and consumption.
Drives the organization towards Cloud best practices and supporting technologies to enable such capabilities as DevSecOps, Big Data/Analytics, AI, Micro-Services.
Architect, design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement cloud solutions
Work closely with the Information Technology Security team to ensure the applications and solutions designed and deployed are secure and compliant.
Effectively Interface with Customer personnel at varying organizational levels
Must be self-motivated and expected to work independently with minimal supervision
Report status on tasks and assignments
Support business development team in the production of winning proposals
Must be able to generate preliminary and detailed designs as required for enhancements or modifications to existing designs, requiring the application of current industry design concepts and utilization of basic technical writing skills.
Must be able to perform effectively as part of the project "team".
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance
BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field required.
12+ years of hands on experience in a specific technology practice (Infrastructure, Network, Storage, Servers, Security, Windows, Linux, etc.) for both on premise and cloud resources
7+ years network and operating system experience
5+ years experience in cloud container management technologies like Kubernetes or Openshift
Experience scaling and deploying applications to the cloud
Experience using and deploying RDMS, NoSQL, or Graph databases
Experience managing/implementing server/clients with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Platforms and Federation Services (NetIQ, ADFS, Azure MFA, Keycloak, Redhat SSO, Duo, SAML, etc.)
Experience using a source code repository such as BitBucket, Mercurial, GIT, or Subversion
Experience using a defect management system such as Bugzilla, JIRA, or Fogbugz
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have well refined troubleshooting skills, ability to determine the root cause of a problem and identify and resolve systemic problems.
Ability to perform technical briefings to various groups and engineers
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Incumbent must hold one or more of the following:
(ISC) Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
CompTIA Cloud+
Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert
Amazon Web Services Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
Experience in Most of the Following Areas is Required
Multiple years of experience deploying containerized web applications to cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
Multiple years of experience with container management technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, and Openshift.
Experience scaling applications based on user demand
Experience working with service-based architectures and Web APIs
IAT Level 2 Certification (e.g. Security +)
Experience with HTML, HTML5, CSS, XML, XSLT, and JSON
Experience in any of the Following is considered a Plus
Experience working and deploying on DOD networks including NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS
Experience with migration of on premise applications to a cloud provider.
Administration experience on Microsoft Enterprise CA - Cert Requests/Monitoring
Administration experience on Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS)
Familiarity with Information Assurance programs is a plus
Microsoft PowerShell Scripting for Server/Platform management
Any of the following: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), (ISC) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
