THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES As a Business Operations Manager intern in our North American Operations organization, you will work collaboratively with the Chief of Staff to one of our Executive leaders at Lumen to support communications and executive level presentations. This position will have high exposure to the Senior leadership team. Tasks during the 10 weeks may include creating newsletters and organizing All Hands Calls for NAO. You will need a high level of engagement and ability to take initiative, ask questions, learn quickly, and work in a team environment. Other tasks may include: - Coordinating all communication - Creation and editing of executive level PowerPoints - Collaboration for new ideas and improvement for current communication throughout NAO - Employee recognition planning and communication WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A CANDIDATE - Education Requirements - Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university- rising senior or masters level status at the start of the internship, graduating August 2022 May 2023. - Major/Degree: In pursuit of degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Masters Business Administration, English, or related field - Proficiency and understanding of: - Microsoft Suites - Video editing experience is a plus - Professional Attributes - Strong drive for results and taking initiative to resolve problems - High attention to detail with STRONG organizational skills - Ability to interact with business partners and drive the conversation - Ability to be resourceful and adaptable- independently AND in a team environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Comfortability in interaction with leadership - Flexible and able to adjust to changes - Ability to adhere to strict schedules and timelines - Desire to work in a team central atmosphere - Work Setting - Ideally the position will be in one of the following offices: Remote/Work From Home - Intern must be able to work 30-40 hours be week during the 10-week program (June August) - Intern must have reliable transportation to/from work location (Lumen does not provide transportation to/from Lumen office locations) - US work authorization WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT After completion and submission of your application, you will be asked to participate in a virtual video interview.
