Salary:

An Accounts Payable Specialist Intern is responsible for the financial processing of transactions for an organization. Their duties include daily bookkeeping and record keeping, financial reporting and the preparation of tax records for financial audits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Coding invoices review, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc.;

* Ensure proper entry into the financial system;

* Handles vendor correspondence via phone or email;

* Matches the corresponding purchase orders to incoming invoices with all supporting documentation;

* Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices;

* Tracks unentered invoices by reason (not received, not approved, etc.);

* Processes payments via check and credit card, including mailing payments to vendors;

* Deposits accounts receivable payments into the company's bank account;

* Assists with monthly status reports, accruals, and monthly closings;

* Reconciles various accounts by identifying errors in posting or omissions by applying appropriate accounting standards;

* Receives, researches and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons;

* Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and reports;

* Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department;

* Review T&E expenses and approvals.




Skills and Specifications:

* Quickbooks online experience a plus but not required;

* Microsoft Office Suite / Teams;

* G-Suite;

* Excellent verbal and written skills;

* Confidentiality a must;




Education and Qualifications:
* High school or equivalent (Required)
